About Amanda

I am currently a stay at home mom for my 2-year-old son. Prior to having my son, I was a special education teacher for the past five years. I taught students from 2nd grade through 8th grade with a variety of needs. While teaching middle school, I participated in the tutoring program as well. I enjoyed the one on one time with my students to help them. I loved teaching and helping students reach their goals with my help. I love staying home with my son, but do miss teaching greatly. I feel my strengths as a teacher have carried over to my strengths as a mom. I am a very patient person who can see the positive in situations. I believe all students and children can learn and succeed; you just have to help them see that and help them use their own strengths to strive.
