About Katherine

Hi families! My name is Katie and I have 10 years of diverse and enriching child care experience. I've spent the last year as an after-school nanny for a wonderful family in Washington, DC and am looking for work as I move back to CT to finish grad school. I'm in my second year of an online MS in Child Life, and have over 100 volunteer hours in the Johns Hopkins NICU. Before returning to school, I worked in pediatric psychology as a clinical research coordinator at Children's National Hospital. In summer 2023, I was the Junior Unit Director at Chimney Corners Camp, a sleepaway camp in Western MA. Here I was responsible for the overall supervision of over 100 kids aged 7-10 and their counselors. I was also a counselor at Chimney for this same age group in previous years.
