About Katelyn

Hello! My name is Katelyn and I am excited to be a part of your child's academic development this school year! I am a former High School Social Studies teacher. In college, I double majored in history and anthropology and minored in secondary education. Prior to teaching full time, I served as an EOG reading tutor for scholars at the third grade level. During my time as a teacher, I became increasingly aware of the learning gaps that emerged, in part, as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. As a result, I am incredibly passionate about developing young scholars' literacy skills and instilling in them a love for reading.
