I have only a year and a half of experience caring for those with special needs, however, I have peeked an interest in my Psychology studies in helping children with special needs develop on the same level as their peers on an emotional and educational level, as well as possible(spoiler: I believe despite any challenges your child can achieve greatness, anything is possible within reason!) When I was a child, I suffered from multiple problems developing emotionally between early identifiable bipolar, anxiety, ADHD, disordered eating and trauma. Now I want to help children who were in positions similar to mine have a better growing experience than I did! Support makes all the difference when you struggle with developmental challenges and/or mental illness. I do also have extensive experience with food allergies and Celiac Disease from my own life and can ensure your child stays on track with their special diet!

I interviewed Karen because I was looking for someone to watch my son and maybe take him to his therapies while I'm at work. During the interview, she presented herself as a dependable and trustworthy caregiver. She even took the initiative to meet my son and tried to engage him (too bad he was having a bad day; not her fault!). We didn't hire her because she got a job with another family, but we would have loved to have hired her to take care of our autistic son.
