About Kaiya

Hi, I am Kaiya! I recently graduated from Cal Poly Humboldt with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and earned my teaching credential. During my time there, I completed student teaching placements in both a third-grade classroom (fall semester) and a kindergarten classroom (spring semester). I also volunteered at a local museum as a field trip educator, leading fun and engaging activities for visiting students. I've been working with children since I was 15, starting with babysitting for multiple families in my hometown of Orange County. At 18, I became a nanny for two young boys, a role I held for about three years. I'd pick them up from school, help with homework, and assist with tidying up around the house. When I wasn't nannying, I was babysitting and I have experience with infants as well! I'm highly responsive and pride myself on clear communication, you can expect a reply from me within an hour in most cases.
