I have been a pediatric nurse for over 6 years. In my most recent role I helped kids before and after their surgical or sedated procedures. I am certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), an advanced version of BLS for pediatric healthcare providers. I have worked with kids of all ages, backgrounds, and disabilities. Outside of the hospital, I previously worked at an elementary school and more recently work with local schools to encourage youth to get in to health care. As I am currently taking a break from patient care, I am missing interacting with kids and felt like this would be the best way to support families outside of the hospital setting.
