About Joelle

For the past five years, I have supported children with special needs and behavioral health who need attentive care. I have a college degree and I'm certified in First Aid, CPR and De-Escalation training. My approach is patient and friendly but I prioritize set expectations when dealing with excited young ones. I love open communication with parents, and would follow your preferred method for updates on your child's day (EOD chat, text updates, written notes or what have you). I'm happy to prepare meals, assist with light housekeeping, and supervise swimming activities. I enjoy cooking, playing board games, puzzles, and educational games, and I'm familiar with IEP goals and how to facilitate learning with children if we want to continue building learning skills over the break. I love outdoor excursions-it is summer vacation afterall! I value your input on expectations for your child's care, and how best to support your household.
