I have over 20yrs of experience taking care of the elderly with Alzheimer's disease. 3yrs experience as a medical assistant. I was 18yrs old when I became a caregiver when my grandmother was placed into an assisted living due to having Alzheimer and could no longer care for herself. I wanted to be closer to my grandmother & take care of her. She was the reason I became a caregiver & got a job where she resided at. Once I became a caregiver, it became my passion for work. Just to be able to be there & help others means everything to me & knowing that I can make even a little bit of a difference for someone or just to put a smile on their face means everything to me. My Caregiver experience is with everyday duties/tasks included: * Showering, bathing, and personal hygiene, daily care, hair, nails, oral care, toileting, & changing depends. * Transferring to & from wheelchair to bed, couch etc. * Engage in everyday activities. * Companionship * Doc appointments, errands, meal prep
