I took care of my mother as a cancer patient and, not too long ago, as a Hospice cancer patient, for many years. We moved to Austin so that I could go back to college. I had to down-size our life style financially quite a bit because of this decision, but I find myself happier now than ever before professionally and academically speaking. While my mother was sick, I left the corporate world to work as a personal assistant of a family in Houston. My duties were to run errands, help to manage the household, entertain clients, transportation of one family member who did not drive, sort mail, file documents, pay the house keepers, some cooking and most shopping.
