I have known Jencey for 22 years. We worked together at a 4-star Bed and Breakfast in Asheville, NC and have been close friends ever since. At that time, Jencey was attending UNC-Asheville, where she ultimately graduated with a degree in Elementary Education. Jencey loves working with kids and she has a particular talent for working with them, especially the ones who struggle. She is kind and patient. She has forethought and many ideas of how to manage young children. She impressed me with the way she would redirect her own son by engaging his attention and transitioning him to settle down with quiet activities like drawing or music. Jencey has been a loving and devoted owner of dogs and cats for as long as I have known her, and she has even opened my eyes to loving a bearded dragon! She takes the responsibility of caring for both children and animals seriously, and with genuine concern for their well being.
