About Iris

Hello! I've been living with and helping care for my grandmother, who has Alzheimer's, for over 8 years-- since I was around 10 years old. In the beginning, my father took on most of the responsibility, but as I grew older, my siblings and I stepped up to support her daily needs. I'm now turning 19 and have taken on a consistent role in her care, assisting with everything from daily routines to emotional support. This experience has taught me so much about patience and the realities of aging. I genuinely enjoy helping others, and I'm passionate about supporting both physical and mental wellbeing. One day I'll grow old too, and I'd want someone to treat me the same way. I'm looking for a job that is consistent where I can create a actual relationship with whoever I come to care for. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my younger siblings, read, cook, and watch A+ movies! My skills include patience, empathy, problem-solving, and respect for people's needs and limitations.
