Having worked in the medical field for the last 13 years, I have gained experience in fields such as; Med surgery, ICU, PCU, ER, Alzheimer' s and dementia, physical therapy, oncology and telemetry. I have worked for both Sharp and Scrips through out San Diego and for the last 9 years, I have cared for private patients providing home health. I am CPR certified and have a dementia caring certification as I am a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN). I love caring for others and not only bring in joy to the patient but the family that gets a chance to enjoy their loved ones living better lives. Words cannot describe the love, care and commitment Hugo showed my father before he passed away. I retained Hugo through Care.com. We spoke on the phone then met in person. He started caring for my father while he was still in the hospital after having a colon resection. He is the sole reason we had my father for an extra 1.5 years. He recognized early signs of infection and got him back to the hospital for IV antibiotics. He kept my dad as active as could be. In my dad's last year of life he did more than he had in the previous 10 years. Our family was given the time with my dad to literally come together and be there for my dad as a whole. Today, as I write this my dad left us 5 days ago and there isn't a moment when I don't thank God for putting such an amazing caregiver in our lives. If you are considering Hugo for a loved one, you couldn't find a more qualified,, compassionate individual than Hugo W. I've run out of space.
