I have experience working at an Autism Connection as a Summer Fun Program Assistant. There I collaborated with parents to formulate solutions for their children. I provided stimulating and fun activities blended with therapeutic and academic supports. I implemented communication, sensory, and behavior supports needed to build skills with all age groups of children starting at the ages of 4-13. I had one on one training with every child I worked with. Lastly, I passed their background test verified by the Department of Human Services. In addition, I was an independent provider and live-in caregiver for an adult male with autism. We mostly spent time doing community outings, volunteering/working, attending camp, and building up skills for daily living. I possess the certifications, background checks, and training's needed for this position as required by the State of Ohio. Lastly, I have some knowledge about children with ADHD and/or defiant behaviors and token economy systems.
