About Emily

My name is Emily and I recently graduated with a degree in Physics emphasizing in Education. Through several years of tutoring, teaching, and nannying, I've grown to love working with kids and encouraging excitement in them about learning. I previously worked with a tutoring company, working individually with preschool-high school students on reading and math. Throughout my college years, I worked as a Physics Learning Assistant at my university, aiding in teaching Physics and conducting individual and group tutoring sessions while simultaneously being trained in Science Education. I have worked predominately with non-science students, so I have experience helping students who feel discouraged by and fearful of science. I have also worked as a Lead Teacher for Camps for Curious Minds, managing classrooms and teaching science to children through a variety of engaging activities. I am passionate about making learning accessible and enjoyable for all students.
