I currently work full-time as a nanny, which has been the most fulfilling and rewarding experiences I've had in my life. I have worked with the same family since 2016, so I have been a part of hugely significant life events for both the 8-year-old and 4-year-old children I work with. From working closely with a child with disabilities, I've gained experience in high-pressure situations, spent multiple hours each week in hospitals or clinics for doctor's visits and specialist therapies, and learned how to care for a child with complex medical needs (i. e., G-tubes, tracheostomies, nonverbal communication). In addition to nannying, I spent almost 3 years as a personal care assistant for a young adult with memory-loss and mobility issues. My experience with multiple families of unique and neurotypical children and adults has made me an adaptable, conscientious, and confident caregiver.
