Hello! My name is Barbara, I had spent 12 years running a pool. My passion was teaching students with special needs when I was furloughed due to Covid. I began to nanny and tutor my nephews, which I loved! I missed working with my special needs clients, however, and made a career change to PCA and Paraprofessional (para) jobs. I am currently working as a para to an 8-year-old with KdVS, and an 8-year-old with dyslexia, dysgraphia and anxiety, a PCA for a 24-year-old wheelchair user with arthrogryposis, and a nanny to a 10-year-old boy with autism. Most of my experience is with autism, downs syndrome, diabetes, developmental delays, and seizure disorders. I have been praised for my patience and enjoy getting to know what works for each individual and their families. I've had years of instructor level training in CPR, 1st-Aid, Emergency Oxygen Administration. I look forward to continue whom I can help strengthen, learn and grow with.
