About Elana

I am a graduate sculpture major, artist and nanny, and am enthusiastic about working with children. They keep it real, and I am always inspired and learn just as much from them as I hope they do me. I have worked as an artist, educator, and caregiver since high school - I have a decade of experience and pride myself on being engaged and creative with children, as well as responsible and patient. Each child is different and I care-give accordingly. I moved to Los Angeles last fall and am considering going back to school at some point to be a midwife. The following is just some of my experience working with children: I was a part-time nanny to a family of four in Baltimore, and before that, a full-time nanny for three years to another dear family, taking care of their daughter, Stella, starting when she was 4 months old. I also have experience with older children - I was a violin tutor all through high school. I defer to the parents in terms of discipline. Full resume available.
