About Dixie

I am a fun, loving and very experienced child care provider. I have taught preschool, done home daycare, been a nanny, worked in church childcare, a foster mom to infants and preschoolers and the Early Childhood Coordinator at Crossroads Community Church. I am currently a part time nanny for an infant and toddler and part time receptionist. I love to read, do crafts, play with sensory items, play games, go for walks, go on outings and just sit and play with the children. I work very hard to be consistent with the family rules and routines because I feel it is important for the children. I am certified in CPR and first aid. I would love to find a job working with children because it's what I love and what I do well.

Dixie is an incredibly caring, skilled, hard working, and reliable child care provider--she has my very highest recommendation. Over the last two years as she's cared from my now 2.5 and 6 year old kids. Dixie is like a member of our family and we trust her completely with our kids and our house. Likewise my kids adore Dixie. Beyond her natural warmth, energy, and fun personality, Dixie brings a well-earned confidence to the job as she has decades of experience in diverse child care scenarios, including raising two (now) grown kids of her own, foster care for kids of many ages, other nanny situations, preschool, etc. This means that she's unfazed by whatever your kid does! I've learned so much from Dixie about effective strategies for dealing with varied situations/behaviors kids can get into, from babies, to toddlers, to older kids. Also, in two years, Dixie has never once been late and always leaves the house spotless! We feel so blessed to have had Dixie in our lives.
