About D'ette

My experience with special education began with my first child. He started special needs preschool at 25 months and he was later diagnosed with autism. Later still we discovered he had ADHD. My second son was diagnosed with ADHD at age 5 and bipolar disorder at age 9. Working with these precious babies for 10 years inspired me to return to school for a master's degree to be an intervention specialist. Working with special needs kids is my passion. I have empathy for them and their families because I have traveled a similar road. With my children and yours, I work to find out what motivates them and also how they learn best. I see their academic goals as puzzles. I keep trying different pieces-explanation, demonstration, inquisition-until I find one that works. Every child can learn. Your child's success is my success and I will work tirelessly to obtain it. I have worked with children of all ages on classroom assignments and IEP goals. I look forward to partnering with you!
