I have had many different experiences working with children with special needs. I have volunteered for an organization . Through this, I worked with individuals with brain injures to reap the therapeutic benefits of aquatic therapy while just splashing around and moving in the pool. Additionally, I worked with , teaching young children with Autism and Sensory Processing Disorder water safety and aquatic social skills. I also volunteer at an organization. This organization "supports individuals (adults) with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families with unique programs tailored to each individuals' abilities and needs." Finally, I have also been in a self-contained special education highschool classroom to gain more experience in this field. I am a Special Education major at University, and I am very passionate about everything I do within the field.
