I have been babysitting children since the age of 13. I have experience with 6 month-11-year-olds. However, most of my experience ranges from 3-9 years of age. For a semester of my senior year, I assisted in a special education classroom. I worked with children varying in disabilities at the ages of 8-9. Throughout service experience, I have lead activities, retreats, and camps for children. The summer of 2012, I planned a week long camp for children in my neighborhood ages 4-8. I gained babysitting jobs through the families that participated in the camp. Every summer, I also lifeguard. There, I practice an administrative experience with children. I also teach swim lessons to children of 3-6 every morning. Along side my pool positions, I have also worked in a Special Recreation camp. Though I gained more experience with children at different ages and levels, I was personally assigned to a 15-year-old boy with autism. He is non-verbal. I learned a lot from him through our accomplishments together. Throughout my freshman at the University, I have personally nannied families as well as help out with babysitting gigs. I have experience with children who have behavioral, physical, and mental disabilities. I am willing to help around the house, play fun games with the children, and more!
