I have friends & family that tell me I have a Shepard's heart. They often describe me as serving others relentlessly, lovingly, and effectively. It brings me great joy to serve others in their time of need. I love to hear peoples life stories & to see the joy that it brings them in remembering. Although, some memories are painful, in most cases those thoughts & emotions have an opportunity to be processed in which some much needed healing occurs. I have a developmental challenged brother that is 2 years younger than myself. Early on, I appointed myself his protector & caregiver. I was a Special Olympics coach for years. Before I completed my physical therapy degree, it became necessary to end my studies for my husband & I to adopt my nephew & niece. We raised them for 12 years. I drove a school van of children to and from their charter school. I implemented development of a life & job skills training program as Site Director for Christian Women's Job Corp. I implemented and assisted in the development of a home for women & their children who find their selves in need. My husband & I assisted in the development of & physical renovation of a home for domestic minor sex trafficked girls.

Delisa and I worked together for some time. The minute I met her, I just knew I'd love her. Delisa has such a caring and nurturing demeanor. She genuinely cares about the welfare of others and consistently puts the needs of others before her own. I'm confident that she would work well in a variety of environments as she has proven to adapt well in many different circumstances and always gets along with others.
