About Debbie

I am a retired teacher with over 35 years of experience. I have taught elementary school in public and private settings. I have a Montessori background as well as my teaching degree. I am proficient in all subjects. I'd describe my personality as kind but firm. I like tutoring because I can continue to teach on a flexible basis. I can give students my undivided attention. Along with academic I like to help students with time management skills, and study skills. I'm looking for a job that lets me continue teaching on a part-time basis. In my spare time, I like to be out in nature, travel the world, attend the theater and films, and spend time with my family and friends. One thing you should know about me is I am patient and I will be sure to question children so I know they understand the material. My skills include knowledge of the curriculum, experience working with all sorts of children, and individualizing the material to suit the students learning style.
