I have been lucky enough to work with seniors for the last 6 years. I find it extremely fulfilling because I get to see the difference I make in their lives everyday and they in turn make a huge difference in mine. Seniors have a such a vast wealth of knowledge and life experience. I unfortunately was not given the good fortune to have grandparents of my own so to me they are the family I wished I had been lucky enough to have. I get to go home everyday knowing that I made a difference no matter how small in someone's life. I think it is a shame that we as a society do not value our senior community the way it should be valued. I have wanted to be a nurse for as long as I can remember and I feel so blessed that it has reached all my expectations and more.
