I have worked with children who have special needs for the past 5 years. I began by working with a 14-year-old girl in the Autism Spectrum Disorder while in high school. I began working at a summer camp (Camp Daisy) for children and adults with autism and developmental disorders during the summer of 2012, and have continued working there for the past 2 summers. Many of the children there are severely autistic. Currently, I am an intern at ACES Center for Autism and Developmental Disorders. At this internship, I work with the students to reach academic and personal goals, as well as assist a board certified behavior analysis to complete necessary work.
