From 2006 to 2012, I lived overseas in Haiti as the Director of a Special Needs Facility. I oversaw an orphanage, school, outreach and a hospice care for kiddos and adults with Cerebral Palsy, Autism, Down Syndrome, Genetic Disorders, Brain Damage, Sensory Disorder, etc. In 2012 to 2014 I worked as a behavioral therapist with autistic kiddos from non verbal, aggressive to high functioning. I also worked as a independent life coach for those with learning disabilities seeking life skill tutoring in teaching everything from meal preparation, money sense, social skills etc. I also have hands on experience here in the states working with medically fragile children such as those with cerebral palsy as a one on one aid in school setting and in home. I also have experience as a nanny for a very aggressive teenage boy with autism in providing structured activities, routine, behavioral plan, outings and more. I am not medically trained but have had experience in distributing medication, feeding tubes, oxygen, changing diapers, occupational and physical therapy experience. I have a heart, passion and experience working with those with disabilities. I am very creative and am able to work with the kid s strengths to help them thrive. I come with creative play therapy items such as learning through blocks, puzzles, games, etc.
