About Cora

For the past year, I worked at Chappell preschool teaching the 3-year-old class, toddlers, twos, and VPK as needed. Currently, I teach at Biscayne Elementary as a second grade intern. I graduate in December with my BA degree in early childhood education. I have two younger brothers with special needs, so I am used to working with children on the autism spectrum and those with medical disorders. Additionally, I am CPR certified. Three words that describe me are bubbly, enthusiastic, and patient. I went into teaching because I love seeing the lightbulbs go off when a student finally gets something they've been struggling with. My teaching philosophy is that our children are the future of this Earth. It is my responsibility that I thoroughly prepare them for that role. In my spare time I like to garden, bake, and make/listen to music. My tutoring specialities are in English, math, science, and music performance. I cannot wait to help become part of the village that nurtures your child! :)
