About Melissa

Hi! One of my greatest joys is watching a student find their voice and confidence. It becomes a way for them to bring beauty, art, and joy to others. I have over 10 years of experience teaching ages nine and up. I also teach students how to read music and increase their musicianship to whatever they're attempting. The layers of learning involved in creating music is extensive, but rewarding for teacher and student. My specialty is coaching singers to find their individual voice and overcome anxiety and fear. Being a performer myself, I know the range of emotions and strength required to put yourself out there and serve the audience. I teach a variety of genres including classical, jazz, theater, and occasionally pop. I am classically trained but have performed all types of music. I look forward to meeting my new students!!
