I am currently employed as an instructional assistant in a public preschool. I love working with children by playing games, reading to them, initiating activities for instructional and play purposes, and interacting in a friendly and caring way. I have an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education, and have experience working with both neurotypical and special needs children. As a child diagnosed with language-based learning differences, I have had experience in both private, special needs and public school settings. I have interacted with neurotypical peers and peers with special needs. A special person in my life has cerebral palsy, and a good friend growing up had muscular dystrophy. I am compassionate, non-judgmental, and easy-going. I would be happy to meet with you to see if we could be a fit.
