I've worked with the developmentally disabled for over five years now. I started working at Occazio in 2009 , and then the Mentor Network from 2013 until just recently. I just moved to Newberg OR from Indiana and I really liked my job so I would like to get back in to the field ASAP. Working for the companies I was required to have yearly CPR and First Aid classes. I started working as an on-call rep so I have had a lot of experience with a variety of special needs. I am very familiar with assistance in maintaining proper hygiene for the clients and assisting with house cleaning. I have done many med passes, given shots, enemas, stents, blood strip tests, you name it! I am willing to travel for mileage compensation, but I would prefer to stay close. I am asking $11/hr to start. I am used to 24/7 care so I would even be willing to stay through the night. I really enjoy this work and the rewards of teaching something in a new way so that someone can better understand.
