I have worked in the health care industry for nearly 15 years in numerous positions. Recently passed my CNA exam and am certified. My goal when taking the CNA class was to go into home health care in an effort to keep elderly folks living in their homes and not have to go into LTC facilities. It has been proven that people both young and old thrive at home versus living in a facility. One on one care makes them feel more comfortable and a bond can be made and trust established. A thorough background check was required to both take the class at Pickens Tech and to be able to take the state board exam. Healthcarex provided the information that gave approval to work in a facility and take the test.
