About Avery

I have 4+ years of childcare experience, including two years as a psychiatric technician at the Huntsman Mental Health Institute. While there, I have gained valuable experience supporting children with severe diagnoses and unique behavioral presentations. I am skilled at de-escalating when children are emotionally dysregulated, encouraging the use of healthy coping skills, and integrating a sense of creative excitement into structured activities. I will be attending a doctoral program in clinical psychology this fall, planning to specialize in child, couple, and family therapy and assessment. I enjoy applying my knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic techniques, human development, and child psychology to my work as a caregiver. I'm all about being safe, building confidence, and having fun!
