I have a wide range of experience caring for children and adults with very diverse abilities. I bond with and provide loving care for each person that I work with. I seek to empower each individual to express themselves in ways that are comfortable and best for them. I meet each person where they are at, enter into their world, and help them expand their range of comfort. Kindness, empathy, and feeling safe are paramount for vulnerable people who have experienced the trauma that comes with being different. I draw upon a rich background of movement, music, art and creative expression. I have worked with individuals with developmental disabilities, those on the autism spectrum, children with cerebral palsy, and others who do not fit into any definable category. I have worked with people who have little or no language and very challenging disabilities. I have also helped higher functioning individuals create meaningful work for themselves and integrate into the community.
