Hello! My name is Ashley and I've worked with children in the field for 5 years! Through the years I have volunteered at a Special Olympics for young children, and interned at a school for children with physical and intellectual disabilities! In the past five years, I have worked with children with a range of disabilities; including speech delays, Down Syndrome, Autism Spectrum Disorder, developmental delays, cognitive delay, ADHD, and varying physical disabilities. I have the most experience with children ages 2. 9-7 years of age but am comfortable working with any age group. Through my work with special needs children, I have also learned ASL and Picture Exchange Communication and am always looking for new ways to communicate with non-verbal children. I always try to work with each child on an individual level, and plan accordingly to their abilities and needs!
