Last summer, I was the summer intern for a day program called YouthAbility. I worked with at-risk youth as well as individuals of ages 15 - 30 with various developmental disabilities, such as Autism, Cerebral Palsy, and Down Syndrome. From this internship, I was employed by a family with a 22-year-old son with Autism. I have been working with them for nine months now and have my certification in homemaker personal care services. With the 22-year-old, I work on his activities of daily living with him, as well as working on his involvement in the community. In the Fall, I will be pursuing a master's in Occupational Therapy at D'Youville College. I am passionate about helping others be the best they can be!

Anneke worked with my son with autism for over 2 years. She is a highly dependable, flexible and outgoing person. She is self motivated, and always looking for ways she can help out more. She worked with us during covid when school was shut down. Her responsibilities included school work, scheduling daytime routines, implementing and following behaviors plans, scheduling and transporting to and from activities. She quickly became a part of our family.
