I spent the last 4 years working for an agency called Sample Supports who mostly provides services for adults with developmental disabilities with high behavioral needs, but also has a children's program that I was a part of. When I began my work there, I was working with the day program which included transporting my clients too and from the day program base site, bringing them to various community outings, ensuring that they completed their daily goals, and providing for their general well being. I also provided for children with difficult behaviors in the CES program after regular program hours. In my last two years with the agency, I was a behavior counselor. During this time, I learned a lot of valuable skills that help support the development of a positive, balanced life including extensive practice of cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness. I am passionate about helping all walks of life and lifting up those around me as much as possible.
