I am a motivated and hardworking individual that works full-time as a Psychiatric and Behavioral Health Nurse. I work 12-hour shifts 3 or 4 days a week. In addition to this, I am the mother of 3 children. I have always worked multiple jobs as my hospital work schedule leaves me free to seek other employment 3 or 4 days per week, but I don't want to work additional 12-hour shifts in nursing. Running errands and assisting others with their "chores" allows me to work extra yet still have time with my family and gives me time away from my usual work environment. While in college, I worked in (and loved) the hospitality business. I had a part-time job at a bed and breakfast for four years, where I was basically an "assistant". I did a wide range of things including waiting tables at the restaurant, catering, assisting the Chef in the kitchen, cleaning rooms, washing dishes, bar tending during events, and event planning and set up. I answered the phone, made reservations, tended to guests staying at the bed and breakfast, assisted with setting up for weddings and other parties and then cleaned up after the events were over. I tended the bed and breakfast for the owners when they were out of town on several occasions. I ran errands as well, such as going to the post office and picking up things at the grocery store. I even worked in the flower bed and watered the plants. I found this kind of work fun and therapeutic, and I am interested in this type of work as a side business to my nursing career.
