About Alondra

My passion stems from studying the aging brain at a graduate level and experiencing the toll neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's have on not only the patient but on the whole family. I have already had experience taking care of my grandmother who had retrograde amnesia. I would like to go outside of a laboratory setting and obtain some hands-on experience on Senior care. My overall goal is to implement what I have learned in both, a laboratory setting and in real life, in order to open a facility for older adults. As of now, I would incorporate external factors like physical exercise and stress level reduction techniques to increase the patients' quality of life.
