I possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. I am patient and family focused, self-disciplined and proficient in organizing efficient nursing care. I am conscientious and dedicated. I have excellent bedside nursing care to perform procedures or by assisting activities of daily living. I am passionate about taking care of seniors in several level of areas of geriatric population in skilled nursing facilities associated with diagnoses such as dementia, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and more diagnosis related. I acquire a great sense of humor where I can naturally brighten someone's day. I have a deep understanding of their special needs. I am able to apply my best to meet their needs and comfort. I have worked with residents with gastric tubes, diabetes, blood glucose monitoring, wound care, and need for medication management. I have experienced patients who were under rehabilitation/recovering from status post surgery. One great reward is exchanging our fair goodbyes and seeing my patients go home with a smile on their faces. I worked as a certified nursing assistant while I was in nursing school. I have done private duty as a CNA. I have worked with developmentally disabled children in home care setting with 3 caregivers. I was the LVN in charge to oversee and to administer medications.
