State Biologist With A Passion For The STEM Fields, Conservation, And Empowering Young Girls!
Since 2007 I have been studying, working, and volunteering in the field of wildlife ecology, Earth science, conservation education, and veterinary pathology. I currently work at the state Veterinary Diagnostic Lab in the Pathology Sciences section. I have created and delivered science and conservation programming/presentations to students ranging from elementary age children to graduate students at a university. I have a BS & MS in wildlife biology from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. I care deeply about the work I do and engaging youth, especially girls and children from rural communities, to find a passion for the STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) fields. In my spare time I love hiking, training for triathlons, attending group fitness classes with friends, crafts, and relaxing with my two cats. I can be described as outgoing, funny, and caring.

I'm looking for someone to make once-daily visits to my home while I am away for the holiday season to feed my cat and, preferably change her litter box. She is a shy tortie and will probably hide under my bed while you visit, but she may say hi when she hears you fill her food bowl!
