Duties include assistance with all daily living skills (ADL's) including toileting, bathing, light housekeeping, preparing & feeding meals. Must be comfortable caring for a nonverbal, physically disabled teen. L weighs 70 pounds, is ambulatory but some lifting will be required. She uses a Tobii/eye-gaze device to communicate. You are organized, dependable, patient, engaging. MUST have previous experience in working with people with complex disabilities (L has Rett syndrome), CPR and First Aid certified preferred; willing to be paid on the books. To get to our home, the easiest is driving here. Plenty of street parking. Public transportation: 1 train to the very end (Van Cordtlant Park) & then a bus the rest of the way. We are in the Bronx in north Riverdale. We have a pet cat who is friendly and hypoallergenic.
