I have an adult son with Down Syndrome and Autism. We always say he has "Autism Light," because Down Syndrome is prominent. He is non-verbal. I would like to start out with respite time and then, progress to more regular hours. :)

Seeking a caregiver for our adult son who is a young man with Cognitive Disabilities, Developmental Delays & Cerebral Palsy. He is a petite happy young man, with a pleasant personality & is fully dependent. I schedule & pay biweekly. On occasion, you will be asked to fill in periodically, over & above your normal schedule when needed. For the most part, this is a companion based position. There are light duties involved as well, in an effort to help maintain all aspects of daily living, while meeting the needs for his home, and to maintain the pleasant atmosphere provided here. Looking for caregivers, who have experience working with children living with an I/DD diagnosis . Specific experience with autism, global developmental delay and managing aggressive behaviors is required. Caregivers will work with the child in the home and community on various goals while attending to the child's personal care needs. Caregivers are needed on Monday and Friday 2pm-8 p.m. and every other weekend. The schedule is flexible on the weekends. Caregivers must be at least 18 years of age, have a high school diploma or GED, be able to pass a background check and have reliable transportation. Experience working in places such as residential facilities, group homes and Adaptive Curriculum/Special Education classrooms is a plus. This is a W-2 position so taxes will be taken out and pay is every other week via direct deposit.

Looking for a person to spend time with my 23-year-old young man with Autism. He is very laid back and loves looking at books, watching roller coaster videos and watching you tube on his IPAD . He needs one on one assistance to do activities like having snacks and going to the bathroom . He likes to have prompts and someone who is patient . Someone with a sense of humor is very preferred as he loves to make up silly stories, play mad libs and watch appropriate comedy sketches like lip syncing etc. once he gets to know a person, would enjoy simple trips to the community out to eat, bowling or just riding in the car. Looking for female caregiver to provide in-home care for our 23-year-old son with Down Syndrome. He's 4'5"tall, 75 lbs., and looks much younger than he really is. He enjoys listening to music, watching online videos, and riding on his special needs stroller around the neighborhood. He loves when someone sings children's songs to him! He can walk short distances around the house but needs help going up and down the stairs. He's non-verbal and is learning to communicate using picture cards and sign language. His care includes G-tube feedings, oral feedings (baby food), full assistance with toileting, diapers, bathing, tooth brushing, and dressing. In return, he'll give hugs and smiles! We are looking for someone who loves children and has a heart for children with disabilities. With three with Down syndrome, ages 6, 7, and 9, I need an extra set of hands to help or play with the kids or fill in for me when my full attention is needed by one, or supervising all three while they play together. I may also ask that you help with household tasks so that I can spend time with the children. Seeking child care in our home with some transportation needs for our 7-year-old son with autism and other developmental disabilities. Hi, I am 24yrs old and am looking for a caregiver(s) to be with me on the weekends from Friday at noon through Monday at noon. (Some flexibility with start and end times) I use a wheelchair and need full assistance with all of my daily care needs. I am fed through a g-tube and also have seizures that occur approximately once a month. I will need to be given my medications daily and when I have a seizure. I am non verbal and communicate with body language, eye contact and by expressing my emotions. I enjoy spending time outside in the garden and going for walks (I have a jogging stroller).
