Hours and Days are Saturdays and Sundays from 11-7 pm, with flexibility to stay later on occasion, with notice. Duties include assistance with all daily living skills (ADL's) including toileting and bathing, light housekeeping, preparing and feeding meals. Must be comfortable caring for a nonverbal, physically disabled teen, L uses a Tobii/eye-gaze device to communicate. You are organized, dependable, patient, engaging. MUST have previous experience in working with people with complex disabilities (L has Rett syndrome), CPR and First Aid certified, and willing to be paid on the books. To get to our home, the easiest is driving here. Plenty of street parking. Public transportation: take the 1 train to the very end (Van Cordtlant Park) and then a bus the rest of the way. We are in the Bronx in north Riverdale.
