About the job

We are looking for a calm, patient, responsible individual with reliable transportation to drive a nonverbal, autistic 17-y-o to a weekly speech/language appointment in Waukesha, WI from our home in Vernon Hills (approx. a 1 hr, 15 min drive). Experience with folks on the autism spectrum is a must, but equally important is patience, kindness, flexibility, and a calm demeanor. This assignment is perfect for anyone with a background in speech/language pathology, ABA, behavioral / developmental therapies, OT, nursing, etc. This is a temporary weekly assignment coming to an end in August, but if you fit well with our family, we are always looking for additional occasional help.
