About the job

We are looking for weekend, backup & school holiday care for our 13yo son. He is sweet, with a beautiful soul & some behavioral challenges. He has a genetic disorder that inhibits learning & development (KCNQ2), also autism & ADHD. He is nonverbal and partially potty trained and loves to connect, be with people, and listen to music. We are looking for someone to play with him and keep him safe while we work, do things around the house, go places together, or spend time with our teenage daughter. Rate is negotiable - based on experience and fit. Ideal match has some training and/or experience with kids with nonverbal autism (e. g., RBT training) and comfort with the behavioral challenges that can come with these diagnoses (in our son's case, mostly pinching & throwing). Home Service Provider status with IL DRS also a plus.
