About the job

Help needed for my near adult 17-year-old son with non-verbal autism and cognitive delay. He is generally an easy going teen who enjoys musical toys, going on car rides and local hikes, and playing in our fenced in back yard. Hours include before and after school as well as some evening and weekend hours, on average 30-35hrs a week with a split schedule on weekdays. The ideal candidate will have some experience with special needs. This job requires patience, compassion, and creativity. There is help needed with bathing. Responsibilities include meal preparation and light housework related to his care such as his laundry and tidying up his room and toys. Preferences for a caregiver who is comfortable with pets and CPR / first-aid trained.
