A Learning Aide for our 14-year-old son (who's on the autism spectrum and uses an augmented communication device (AAC) to attend Hope Technology School Tuesdays and Thursdays for the upcoming school year 12-20 hours a week 1:1 learning aide at school (09:00-14:30 - 12 hrs) Potentially transport between school and home (2 hrs) Potentially after school tutoring & homework (2-4 hrs) Job Responsibilities: Aid student in classwork, note taking, and projects Help student find effective methods for studying and problem-solving Assist student in using the AAC and/or prompt verbal communication to access curriculum and participate in class and peer discussions Create graphic organizers and other mechanisms to help student in completing classroom assignments and homework Provide support during group times, small group, and individual instruction.
