About the job

Seeking a responsible, compassionate babysitter for a child with non-verbal autism spectrum disorder, two evenings per week during the summer. Care will take place in our home and includes engaging in calm activities. Experience with special needs children is preferred, as well as CPR and/or First Aid certification. Must be patient, reliable, and able to follow specific care instructions. Pay starts at $19/hour. Evening meals and snacks for sitter and child are provided. Our family enjoys and getting settled in our new home. Child is a happy, active 7-year-old. He has non verbal autism and loves Eric Carle books, his iPad, and his stuffed animals. We're looking for someone who has some experience with autism or at least a willingness to learn. We live in a gated community that has plenty of parking. No pets.
