About the job

I am a young adult with muscular dystrophy. I am looking to hire a Personal Care Assistant to assist me with daily tasks and help drive me to college classes. You will be paid by the state through my Consumer Directed Services waiver. I will train you on how to do everything needed. Tasks would include: Help me change clothes and do my hair Help me wash my hair Assist me while I do daily care for my feeding tube and suprapubic catheter Clean my wheelchair off when it gets dirty Assist with correspondences Light housework (sweep/vacuum floors, laundry, take out the trash) Drive me to college classes in my wheelchair accessible vehicle (I have the summer off but will resume classes in the fall) Shifts would be Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. Shift start/end times can be flexible but will be approximately 4 hours a day.
