About the job

About who needs care: Barbara is an 80-year-old female with mild-moderate dementia, diabetes, and limited mobility (uses a walker and for longer distances, a wheelchair). She lives with her daughter/son-in-law, both work full time. She is looking for a companion who can chat with her, take her out for 1/2 a day for a variety of excursions and is willing to assist her physically (out of a car, upstairs, etc). Occasionally, some light housekeeping. About the care needs: Looking for someone who is willing to give companionship, able to assist with stairs, and getting into and out of a vehicle. Ideal interests include reading, history, traveling and animals. Must be ok with well-behaved dogs. Barbara's home has three of them. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
